August 10, 2025 Meeting – “Make and Take Lei Making” Tutorial

At the August 2025 meeting, SCPS Flower Show Coordinator Kim Schultz will briefly review some of the ins-and-outs of the upcoming 2025 SCPS Flower Show. Then we will have Margery Ohlson, a very talented SCPS member who has won a lei category of the SCPS Flower Show several times, leading us in a “Make and Take Lei Making” tutorial session.

Items to bring for the “Make and Take Lei Making” session:

• Plumeria blooms – the more the better, for yourself and to share with those that aren’t blessed with a lot of blooms
• Lei needle (some may be available for purchase at the SCPS store) or
• 5-inch Doll needle (available at most craft stores and on Amazon – please note that Margery tested this out and feels this is the best option)
• Size 10 crochet thread (available at most craft stores and on Amazon)
• Scissors

Additionally, we are back at Jean Farb Middle School for the August meeting.
